Engineering Innovation, Inc. is looking for an Associate Technical Writer to produce high‑quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our products. You will join a team that works collaboratively with developers, quality engineers, product managers, and usability experts to make our products easier to use. Engineering Innovation, Inc. (EII) is a dynamic growth technology company, a premier provider of postal and parcel automation located in Lafayette, IN (about 20 minutes from the campus of Purdue University).

This is a paid part‑time position and is only open to U.S. Citizens or U.S. Permanent Residents.

• Help with the conversion process of our legacy content into Paligo, a Component Content Management System (CCMS)
• Use publishing tools to generate customer‑facing documentation
• Edit and write manuals, emails, and documents that include technical and nontechnical content.
• Design all aspects of document creation, which includes creating graphics, capturing images, layout, and formatting content.
• Apply writing and editing skills to enhance user experience/user interface (UX/UI) to support internal and external engagement.
• Set up meetings and interviews to collaborate with subject‑matter experts (SMEs) such as project managers, software developers, engineers, and other team members.

• Proven working experience in technical writing of documentation
• Experience with Paligo is a strong plus, but not a requirement.
• Ability to deliver high quality documentation, paying attention to detail
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
• Excellent written skills in English
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Preferred candidates will have one or more of the following skills:
  • Instructional Design
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS
  • Print and web graphics
  • Document/web layout and design
  • Instructional video creation
