Responsibilities
  • Shift: Sunday - Thursday 10:00pm - 6:30am
  • Welding Operations: fabricate and weld products to meet production expectations; perform advanced welding techniques including GMAW, FCAW, and qualify in 2F/2G, 3F/3G, and 4F/4G positions; weld using standard work sequences and identify variances using andon systems; use oxygen/propylene flame for straightening and cutting; operate other industrial equipment such as rigging and cranes for weldment movement.
  • Technical Expertise and Quality Control: read, interpret, and execute engineering drawings; understand and apply AWS weld symbols; inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and compliance with specifications; ensure welds meet specifications through visual and non-destructive testing (NDT).
  • Collaboration & Flexibility: work closely with others to meet project timelines; be available to assist in other areas as needed.
  • Safety & Compliance: follow all applicable company policies and procedures; maintain a clean and organized work environment; adhere to OSHA and company safety standards; position works directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery; meets TKMNA Employee Attributes / Competencies.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Welding Certification from an accredited College or Institution
  • Demonstrated understanding of welding techniques, materials, and fabrication processes, including experience with GMAW, FCAW, and various welding positions
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and weld symbols
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and ensure weld quality
  • Problem-Solving Skills to assess issues, troubleshoot welding and fabrication challenges, and implement effective solutions
  • Basic understanding of safety requirements in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with hand tools and their proper application
  • Basic knowledge of measuring devices and intermediate knowledge of blueprint/engineering drawings
  • Basic math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and ability to use metric measurements

Preferred Requirements:

  • 1 year of welding experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
