• Greet, engage and assist customers; maintain visibility in the store.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the Point of Sale (POS) system and handle cash, checks, credit, debit, SNAP EBT, offline SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons, and checkout procedures per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and work to control loss.
• Follow guidelines on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Follow policies for postage stamps, gift cards, and coupons; stay current with ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Reinforce safety programs, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs as needed.
• Create an welcoming environment and assist customers with product questions across the store.
• Adhere to all laws and company guidelines; work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment; manage conflicts calmly.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Customer service experience
