- One year of security, military, or law‑enforcement experience preferred
- Reliable transportation and communication means
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and distances
- Always accessible for phone communication
- Strong mental analysis, problem‑solving, and decision‑making under pressure within area of responsibility
- Ability to read, understand, and communicate written instructions clearly
- Exceptional report‑writing skills
- Willingness to work holidays, weekends, and in all weather conditions
The Flex Officer position is vital to Sunstates’ operational and financial success. Flex Officers provide trained, competent support by covering shifts that become vacant due to illness, call‑offs, weather, vacation, or other causes. This allows continuous, uninterrupted service for our customers while supporting employee health and work balance.
Scheduling Expectations- Trained at various posts or facilities based on operational need; assignments are temporary
- Schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week) varies with operational need
- Accepted shifts as they become available due to staffing needs
- Some shifts scheduled in advance; others called at short notice to cover unavailable staff
- Must work any scheduled shift within stated availability; communicate unavailability promptly
- For short‑notice call‑ins, expected to work at least 80% of called shifts; refusal of more than 20% may negatively impact employment status
High school diploma or equivalent.
