Field Service Technician
At Mac Allister Machinery, we provide top-quality service and repair for equipment rentals. We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our team.
This position will perform efficient and thorough mechanical repairs and/or maintenance of all rental equipment primarily at customer job sites and occasionally in the shop.
Primary Responsibilities- Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnosing of equipment malfunctions and failures at job sites
- Cleans, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components to ensure they meet company standards
- Prepares inspection and appraisal reports
- Completely understand the operation, function, specifications, capabilities and controls of any piece of rental equipment
- Completes all documents associated with repairs in an accurate and timely manner
- Adhere to manager’s and lead mechanic’s directions regarding all repairs and service calls
- Adheres to all safety rules and maintains quality housekeeping in work area
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 year or more of work related experience in a technician related position
- Valid Driver’s License
- Must have required shop hand tools
- Certificate acquired through a vocational or technical school
- Valid Class B CDL
- 7 years or more of work related experience with heavy equipment preferably with a rental company or Caterpillar and/or in a position with a working knowledge of hydraulics, powertrain, electronic/electrical systems etc.
