At Kirby Risk Mechanical Solutions & Services, we provide dependable mechanical repair and service solutions that help customers reduce downtime, prevent failures, and extend the life of their equipment.
What You’ll Do as a MechanicIn this role, you’ll be a key contributor in our service operations, working directly on electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and other mechanical equipment.
You’ll:
- Test, troubleshoot, disassemble, and reassemble electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and related mechanical apparatus
- Perform failure analysis to identify root causes and recommend repairs
- Use hand tools and diagnostic equipment to complete repairs safely and accurately
- Provide and receive on-the-job training in specific motor and mechanical repair techniques
- Follow written and verbal work instructions while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Support team goals by completing work efficiently and professionally
- High School Diploma, GED, Trade School coursework, or equivalent work experience
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A desire to continually learn and improve your technical skills
- Experience with mechanical and/or electrical repair is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Standing for extended periods
- Regular use of hand tools and shop equipment
- Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–4:00 pm - On-call rotation is mandatory
