Now Hiring Project Accountant
Location Lafayette, LA
Schedule Monday – Friday (8 AM – 5 PM)
Salary $60,000 – $75,000
- Monitor and manage project budgets, forecasts, costs, and financial reports.
- Review and process subcontractor invoices, change orders, progress billings, and project payments.
- Collaborate with project managers on budget revisions, cost-to-complete estimates, and variance analysis.
- Prepare project‑specific financial statements and ensure compliance with contract terms, GAAP, and industry regulations.
- Manage project setup in accounting systems, accounts receivable, and maintain documentation for audits and financial controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in construction or engineering.
- Proficiency in construction-related software (Sage, Procore, Foundations, Viewpoint) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of job cost accounting, WIP schedules, and AIA billing.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
