Location:

Lafayette, LA

• Open/Sort mail, scan/forward to the appropriate person
• Log checks and scan remits
• Log zero pay remits in Share Point
• Print and mail claims for Collector II's and Health Information Specialist
• Establish and maintain effective communication and good working relationships with co‑workers
• Perform other clerical tasks as needed (answer phones, fax, email)
• Communicate appropriately and clearly to Manager/Supervisor and other superiors; report all concerns or issues directly to Collections Manager and Supervisor

• Learn and maintain knowledge of current patient database and billing system
• Utilize initiative
• High School Diploma or GED

• Medical or general office experience preferred

• Superior organizational skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Effective communication skills
• Positive attitude
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel
