Position: Office Manager/ Book Keeper

Tekton Civil & Municipal is growing, and we’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Office Manager with experience in the construction industry to join our team in Lafayette, LA.

We are dedicated to delivering quality water and wastewater services using advanced software tools for comprehensive, real-time project transparency. Our software integration helps facilitate a seamless and efficient project experience for our clients, ensuring accuracy from start to finish.

With over 15 years in the construction industry, our team has developed valuable partnerships with municipalities and government agencies to exceed the stringent standards expected in public works. Our extensive background includes installing and repairing water and wastewater infrastructure and working alongside engineers and officials to achieve technical excellence and budgetary compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial transactions, including accounts payable, receivable, and payroll
  • Reconcile bank statements and track job costs & expenses
  • Prepare invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor payments
  • Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and WIP reporting
  • Oversee daily office operations to ensure efficiency
  • Handle insurance certificates, lien waivers, and compliance documentation
  • Manage subcontractor agreements, vendor relations, and HR onboarding
  • Coordinate meetings, schedules, and correspondence

    Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of bookkeeping & office management experience in construction
  • Proficiency in Quick Books Online & Google Workspace
  • Strong understanding of job costing, AIA billing, and construction contracts
  • Knowledge of certified payroll reporting, lien releases, and tax regulations
  • Experience with construction project management software (Red Team, Procore, or similar preferred)
  • Familiarity with bonding processes and requirements
