Optician – Desai Eye Care (Lafayette, LA)

Join a team that cares just as much about people as it does about exceptional eye care. Desai Eye Care is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced, personable Optician to join our patient‑focused team.

• Guide patients in selecting frames and lenses that fit their prescription needs, lifestyle, and personal style
• Perform precise measurements, including PDs, seg heights, and frame adjustments
• Verify prescriptions and inspect finished eyewear for accuracy
• Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and eyewear care
• Work closely with physicians and the clinical team to ensure seamless patient flow
• Handle eyewear orders, troubleshoot lab issues, and maintain inventory
• Provide an excellent, friendly, and professional patient experience every day
• Cross‑train as needed to help with other office tasks when needed

• At least 2 years of optician or optical experience required
• Strong understanding of lens types, materials, and coatings
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Team mentality, open mindset
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced clinical environment
• Positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine desire to help patients
• Organization skills
• Experience with electronic medical records and optical ordering platforms is a plus
• Certification is welcome but not required

$16 - $18 hourly
