INPATIENT ADMISSIONS COORDINATOR (FULL TIME)

Job Responsibilities
  • Enter all patient data and complete admission consents with patient/family.
  • Verify insurance and maintain continued stay authorizations for Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and commercial plans.
  • Coordinate scheduled admissions with Clinical Liaisons, doctors, and nursing staff, ensuring the completion of all pre‑admit paperwork.
  • Understand Rehab Hospital criteria and all referral sources, including doctors, community case managers, and social workers.
  • Provide tours of the facility at requested times.
  • Engage with primary contacts such as the CEO, nursing & therapy department heads, and Clinical Liaisons; discuss projections at daily admissions meetings.
  • Record and email all documentation and daily reports to the corporate office twice daily.
  • Maintain triage skills to manage workload in a busy environment.
Qualifications
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience in hospital insurance verification and authorization.
  • Knowledge of Medicare Part A is a plus.
  • Minimum of six months to one year of related experience.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Excellent time‑management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with colleagues and others.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
