Travel Surgical Tech; OR Tech

Schedule:

3x 12h or 4x 10h or 5x 8h (on call discussed with interview – possibility of NO call).

Responsibilities:

• Operating room preparation – ensuring the OR is safe and sterile, all equipment functioning.
• Patient preparation – washing and disinfecting incision sites, transporting patients to the OR.
• Assisting during surgery – passing sterile instruments, holding organs, maintaining a sterile field.
• Counting supplies – ensuring no foreign objects left by counting instruments and sponges before and after surgery.
• Cleanup – wound care, bandaging and dressing incisions, restocking the OR.
• Quality improvement – participating in debriefing and quality improvement practices.

Qualifications:

• Education
  : required surgical tech training (formal or informal); preferred certification in hand.
• Certifications
  : current BLS; preferred certification in clinical specialty area.
• Knowledge,

  : proficiency in computers, effective communication, strong interpersonal, good organization, self‑directed, good judgement.
