Overview

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise Single Sign On (SSO) directory services within a large scale financial services environment.
• Perform Ping Directory upgrades, operational support, maintenance, security updates, and implementation of custom directory solutions in an AWS based environment.
• Maintain the availability, performance, security, and reliability of directory services supporting high volume authentication workloads.
• Troubleshoot complex directory issues, analyze logs, optimize LDAP searches, and tune indexes and performance for high volume authentication workloads.
• Manage directory migrations, LDIF exports/imports, synchronization, data cleanup, backup and restore procedures, and disaster recovery.
• Ensure security best practices by understanding TLS/SSL, certificates, password policies, access control rules, secure bind patterns, and service accounts.
• Integrate directory services with IAM and authentication platforms.
• Deploy or support Ping Directory using Kubernetes, Docker, or other cloud/container platforms.
• Utilize Shell, Python, or similar scripting languages to automate directory administration, monitoring, and operational activities.
• Provide strong production support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for highly available enterprise environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and supporting Ping Directory, preferably in AWS environments.
• Strong knowledge of LDAP, including directory schemas, indexes, replication, referrals, access controls, and data modeling.
• Experience troubleshooting complex directory issues, analyzing logs, and optimizing LDAP searches for high volume workloads.
• Hands-on experience with directory migrations, LDIF exports/imports, synchronization, data cleanup, backup, restore procedures, and disaster recovery.
• Strong understanding of TLS/SSL, certificates, password policies, access control rules, secure bind patterns, and service accounts.
• Experience integrating directory services with IAM and authentication platforms.
• Experience deploying or supporting Ping Directory using Kubernetes, Docker, or other cloud/container platforms.
• Familiarity with Ping Federate and Ping Access or similar IAM technologies is preferred.
• Experience using Shell, Python, or similar scripting languages to automate administration and operational activities.
• Strong support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution skills for highly available enterprise environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
