Kelly Engineering is seeking a Quality/Lab Technician to join one of our leading clients specializing in development and production of mineral, mineral-based, and synthetic mineral materials at their Lafayette, LA plant.

Responsibilities- Primary responsibility will be to review and optimize the day-to-day work necessary to keep our filling room on track to meet daily and monthly delivery objectives.
- Assist maintaining Master Batch Record documentation according to current GMP, GLP, and GDP practices
- Monitor Quality of Product on production lines
- Assist Quality Assurance Associates with investigations as needed
- Inbound and outbound inspections of all components needed for filling finished good products as well as final finished goop product release
- Report all quality issues to Quality Associates and/or Quality Manager as necessary
- Assist with day to day filling of finished products including working on the production line
- Enforce and practice current GMP practices on all operations and documentation associated with filling operation acting as the Quality Voice of Customer within the filling operation
- Communicating end of day summaries for the filling operation from a Quality perspective
- Maintain daily, weekly, monthly, etc. equipment, calibration, verification and activity log books
- Verifying and releasing room for production prior to production
- Reporting Quality metrics to relevant departments and/or department heads
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- Must be organized and complete paperwork in a timely manner.
- The ability to pay close attention to detail and work independently.
- A willingness to be a leader on a team, share responsibilities, give and take direction and advice, as well as train others.
- Strong mathematics, problem-solving skills, basic writing and computer skills.
- Background should demonstrate safety, dependability, maturity, credibility and productivity.
- Must be dedicated to working safely and adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule and shift work including holidays and weekends.
- Forklift Operation is preferred but not required.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Read, write, listen, speak and understand English
- Read, write, listen, speak and understand Spanish a plus, but not required
