Fuselier Surveying & Mapping is seeking a personable, motivated Local Account Executive to develop new business and strengthen relationships with existing clients throughout Louisiana and surrounding markets.
This is an outside sales position centered on face-to-face client interaction. The Local Account Executive will meet with engineers, contractors, developers, project managers, municipalities, utilities, industrial clients, and other organizations that rely on professional surveying and mapping services.
You do not need to be a licensed surveyor or technical expert. We are looking for someone who can build relationships, recognize potential opportunities, communicate our capabilities, and connect clients with the appropriate members of our technical and leadership teams.
What You’ll DoConduct regular face-to-face visits with current and prospective clients
Develop new accounts and expand relationships within existing accounts
Identify upcoming projects and opportunities for surveying and mapping services
Introduce prospective clients to Fuselier Surveying & Mapping and communicate the value of our services
Build relationships with decision-makers at engineering firms, construction companies, development firms, municipalities, utilities, industrial facilities, and other target organizations
Coordinate client meetings with company leadership and technical personnel
Follow up consistently on introductions, meetings, proposals, and developing opportunities
Represent the company at industry events, association meetings, conferences, and networking functions
Maintain accurate records of client activity, opportunities, and next steps in the company’s CRM
Share market information and developing opportunities with company leadership
Work with our project managers and technical teams to support client satisfaction and long-term account growth
Minimum QualificationsAt least one year of business-to-business sales, account management, client relations, or related experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Confidence initiating conversations and requesting meetings
Ability to develop professional relationships and follow through on commitments
Good time-management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with company leadership
Basic proficiency with email, calendars, Microsoft Office, and CRM or similar business applications
Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
Ability to travel regularly for client visits, meetings, and industry events
Availability to occasionally attend breakfast meetings, evening events, or conferences outside normal business hours
Preferred QualificationsTwo or more years of business-to-business sales or account-development experience
A demonstrated record of developing new accounts, increasing sales, or expanding existing client relationships
Experience in surveying, engineering, construction, land development, utilities, energy, industrial services, or another related industry
Existing relationships within the engineering, construction, development, municipal, utility, industrial, or infrastructure markets
Experience using a CRM to manage accounts, opportunities, and follow-up activity
A competitive, self-motivated approach and a genuine desire to develop new business
A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. Relevant sales experience, industry knowledge, professional relationships, and demonstrated performance may be considered in place of a degree.
