Responsibilities- Complete a Quality Control Inspection of residential homes under renovation and reconstruction.
- Ensure renovations conform to local, state and federal building code requirements.
- Re-inspect homes that fail initial inspections.
- Apply practical knowledge of construction techniques and specifications to Quality Control Inspections.
- Document specific information pertaining to each residence under construction and load into various web-based portals.
- Perform minor maintenance service across multiple trades.
- Complete general assessments at homes and alert the property management team when immediate action is required.
- Complete minor repairs in vacant and occupied homes.
- Properly use and care for company-supplied tools and materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in the building and construction field.
- Demonstrated strong proficiency in MS Excel.
- Knowledge of construction methods and local, state and federal building codes.
- Experience in Public Housing, Real Estate, Building Inspections, Code Enforcement or equivalent education and experience.
- Licensed Home Inspector certification.
- Lead-based paint certification (preferred).
- Mold certification (preferred).
- Ability to multi-task with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, quality orientation and estimating skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a process-improvement mindset.
- Ability to manage competing priorities professionally.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Results-oriented with adaptability to changing environments.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work regularly, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Physical ability to climb, kneel, crawl, push, pull and lift.
- Ability to lift and/or move in excess of 50 lbs and operate company-supplied tools.
