Precision Manufacturing and Maintenance Adjunct Instructor/Tester

$30.00/hr – $30.00/hr

Job Summary

The adjunct faculty member will develop and deliver instruction in precision manufacturing and advanced manufacturing topics, including mechanical, electrical, and advanced manufacturing.

Essential Functions
  • Provide professional instruction based on the approved course syllabus and ensure that course outcomes meet stated objectives. (60%)
  • Prepare curriculum, syllabus, and coursework for the class. (20%)
  • Evaluate students' progress in attaining goals and objectives. (5%)
  • Ensure safety and security requirements are met in training areas. (5%)
  • Meet with students, staff members, and supervisors as needed. (5%)
  • Other duties as assigned. (5%)

  • Skill in developing lesson outlines and materials.
  • Knowledge of the vocational area of assignment.
  • Skill in presenting subject matter.
  • Skill in using computers and job-related software programs.
  • Skill in interpersonal relations and dealing with adult learners.
  • Oral and written communication.
Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office environment and uses standard office equipment and technology.

Physical Demands

Occasional standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and use of hands and arms.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

Part‑time instructional position.

Travel

Possible travel to other campuses for training.

Required

Education and Experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in precision manufacturing and advanced manufacturing.
  • Ability to provide and use workplace scenarios to enhance learning.
  • Experience in day‑to‑day duties that can be used as examples to boost participant productivity.
  • Experience may substitute for a degree on a year‑for‑year basis.
Preferred

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum three (3) years of post‑secondary teaching or faculty recruiting experience.
  • Teaching experience at the post‑secondary level.
  • Strong computer, communication, and interpersonal skills.
