PEPL has been engaged to place a Sales and Operations Manager for a growing client in LaGrange, GA. The Sales and Operations Manager oversees and manages the overall operations, sales and business development activities for the local operation. The Manager will be responsible for improving the administrative and logistical functions that support the Sales, HVAC Service, Installation, and Maintenance teams, overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

The Sales and Ops Manager builds and manages relationships with existing and prospective customers to maximize sales and satisfaction. This role also ensures efficiency and profitability, including managing customer data, optimizing sales processes, analyzing sales performance, ensuring contract accuracy, and facilitating inter-departmental communication to meet revenue targets. This role combines aspects of both sales strategy and operational management within the HVAC industry.

Functions
  • Sales Process Optimization
    :
    Develop, document, and implement best practices and standard operating procedures to streamline the sales process from lead generation to customer onboarding and contract management.
  • Drive Growth Initiatives and Strategies
    :
    Expand operations, increase revenue through additional products and services, and boost market penetration.
  • Data Management & Analysis
    :
    Oversee the accurate administration of customer master data, manage sales records, and analyze sales and operational data to provide insights and drive strategic decisions for sales growth.
  • Operations Oversight
    :
    Direct daily operations, ensuring service, installation, and repair work is performed efficiently and safely.
  • Project & Budget Management
    :
    Oversee project execution, manage budgets, ensure quality control, and prepare bids for new work.
  • Inventory & Equipment Management
    :
    Ensure technicians have necessary materials, tools, and equipment and manage inventory and asset maintenance.
  • Performance Management
    :
    Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), review performance metrics, and work with sales leadership to identify areas for improvement and ensure sales targets are met.
  • Customer & Contract Administration
    :
    Ensure accurate and timely customer onboarding, manage customer master data, review and process contracts, and maintain strong relationships with customers by ensuring their needs are met.
  • Sales Team Support
    :
    Provide training and support to the sales team, help with recruitment and hiring, and collaborate with sales leadership to develop effective sales strategies and campaigns.
  • Inter-Departmental Coordination
    :
    Collaborate with marketing, service, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations, resolve issues, and align strategies to achieve company goals.
  • Technology & Tool Management
    :
    Implement and manage sales automation and CRM tools to improve efficiency, track opportunities, and maximize customer relationships.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or other related field preferred
  • Technical Expertise
    :
    Strong understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical equipment.
  • Leadership & Management
    :
    Ability to manage and motivate a team of skilled tradespeople.
  • Communication
    :
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client and staff interaction.

    :
    Proven ability to resolve customer issues and deliver high-quality service.

    :
    Knowledge of budgeting, profitability, and process improvement.

    Strong organizational and planning skills to manage multiple projects and tasks. Proven ability to work independently as well as the ability to lead, train, collaborate, and influence operations to improve safety performance.
