Position SummaryOperator is responsible for performing processes to thermally apply pack aluminide coatings tasks as a part of a team to manufacture and repair gas turbine engine components. The regular schedule for this position is 11:00 pm–7:30 am (Sun.–Thu.).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Perform tasks such as A12 retort packing, A12 furnace load, spray coating application, abrasive blasting, and monitoring coating application and adhesion per work instructions and customer specifications.
- Execute additional tasks such as assembly, disassembly, vibratory tumble, blending, peening, grit blast, and masking/prep in accordance with work instructions and customer specifications.
- Operate in accordance with plant safety rules and maintain highest quality standards in all assigned work.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on all machines and other routine labor work as required in accordance with production flow.
- Prepare necessary quality documents and confirm quality of own work using inspection tools in accordance with product specifications, blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Adhere to all 5S/CPEX policies and maintain a continuous improvement mindset.
- High school diploma or GED with strong shop mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals, and fractions).
- Preferred on‑the‑job experience of 3–5 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to follow instructions, read, and interpret supplemental work instructions.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
