Maintenance Technician

Company Description: Mountville Rubber Company is a custom rubber mixing business that provides internal and external customers with 45 million pounds of un-cured rubber across several industries from two manufacturing facilities in Lagrange, GA. Annual sales in 2023 totaled $60,000,000.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair facilities and equipment (including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic and hydraulic systems) such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities.
• Devise, fabricate and assemble new or modified mechanical components for industrial machinery or equipment and measuring instruments.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Use CMMS system to track and gather information on maintenance activities.
• Use a multimeter, a variety of hand and power tools, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Initiate corrective and preventative action within the scope of your responsibility.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out procedures when necessary.
• Keep work area and tools clean and orderly.

Pay Range:$23-$35/hr, depending on experience

Qualifications:

• Two (2) years of industrial maintenance experience is required, five (5) or more years of experience preferred.
• Mechanical ability to complete tasks such as replacing motors, repairing plumbing issues, etc.
• Electrical troubleshooting experience
• Experience with CMMS software
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Knowledge of 5S or Lean manufacturing principles a plus
• Ability to perform multiple tasks.
• Basic Windows and Microsoft Office knowledge desired
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work independently as necessary.
• Capable of working flexible hours, overtime when necessary.

Working Conditions:

• This position involves travel to two Mountville Rubber locations within 1 mile of each other.
