• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment and machinery.
• Replace or repair parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, switches, and other electrical components.
• Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble.
• Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
• Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments; repair or replace defective parts; install special functional and structural parts in devices.
• Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines, lubricate, clean parts, and start devices to test their performance.
• Participate in on‑call program and may be required to work additional hours as required.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures and observe operations to ensure a safe environment.

• High school diploma or GED; plus, one year related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Full and complete understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electricity, and PLC troubleshooting.
• Preferably an Electrician's License, but not mandatory.

• Machine set‑up, troubleshooting equipment failures, and performing repair and preventive maintenance services ensuring all safety procedures are followed.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting capability and ability to read and program code.
• Good working knowledge of all aspects of electrical controls, mechanical assembly, plumbing, and HVAC related control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical control and mechanical assembly drawings, as well as service manuals for all equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair both electrical and mechanical problems associated with production and facility equipment in a timely manner.
• Ability to work to repair equipment back to service during emergency breakdowns.

• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.

• Work 12‑hour shifts (8 a.m.–8 p.m. or 8 p.m.–8 a.m.) rotating: 36 hours one week, 48 hours the next; ability to work overtime when needed.
• Regularly required to reach, reach with hands and arms; stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; must frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with assistance.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

• Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts; occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.
• Noise level in the work environment is medium to loud.
