Job Summary

Transports food carts and supporting supplies to and from department. Maintains a clean environment by cleaning and sanitizing carts, sweeping and mopping the floors, washing walls and tray return in cafeteria, hoses dish machine after use, properly disposes of trash and cleans trash cans, keeps loading dock and area around dumpster clean.

Core Responsibilities And Essential Functions Sanitation

• Empties trash and cleans trash cans before and after meals. Keeps loading dock, chemical storage area, and compactor areas clean.
• Sweeps and mops patient meal area after each meal. Sweeps, mops and/or hoses cooks area, dish machine and pot/pan areas, hallway to cafeteria, hot food and grill areas of cafeteria.
• Cleans dish return window and conveyor tunnel in cafeteria.
• Hoses and cleans dish machine.
• Keeps walls clean.

Liaison responsibilities

• Assists with patient meal service by acting as a runner, assembling trays, serving hot foods or other as directed.
• Delivers meal carts to patients and returns them in a timely manner.
• Cleans and sanitizes patient meal carts after each meal.
• Verifies patients satisfaction with meals.
• Identifies opportunities for performance improvement.

• Consistently work with team members and Leadership to meet the goals and objectives of the department.
• Share attained knowledge with team members.
• Present a positive image by meeting dress code requirements.
• Able to communicate with all customers and team member in a respectful manner and in terms that are clear, concise and simple.

Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Education

Some high school equivalent or actively working on diploma.

All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
