We are hiring a Supervisor – Sterile Processing at Providence Mission–Laguna Beach Hospital in Laguna Beach, CA. This Full‑time position runs 8‑hour day shifts.
ResponsibilitiesUnder general supervision, the supervisor oversees the processing of surgical instrumentation and supplies from decontamination to sterilization and distribution for all departments. They assign duties and tasks to Sterile Processing/HLD personnel, ensure trays are clean, complete and accurate, maintain par levels, collaborate with Clinical Nurse III’s, and refer performance issues to the SPD Manager. They are proficient in all required competencies.
Required Qualifications- Graduation from an academic or military program in Surgical Technology, Sterile Processing, or equivalent education/experience
- Certification upon hire:
National Certified Ambulatory Surgery Sterile Processing Technician (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution), National Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association), National Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution), National Certified Healthcare Leader (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association), National Certified Instrument Specialist (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association), National Certified Registered Central Service Technician (Healthcare Sterile Processing Association), National Certified Surgical Instrument Specialist (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution), National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution), or National Management in Sterile Processing (Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution) - At least 2 years of experience in sterile processing and/or a hospital setting
- At least 2 years of experience in high‑level disinfection (endoscopy setting or related responsibility)
- At least 2 years of leadership experience
- Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences
- Training in decontamination, processing, sterilization, and quality control
- CHL Certification in Healthcare Leadership through IAHCSMM or CSPM Certified Sterile Processing Management through CBSPD

Pay Range: $35.06 – $54.43 per hour
