As a Security Officer – Access Control Specialist in Laguna Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor entrances, check badges, and conduct regular patrols to help deter security‑related incidents. Your visible presence and commitment to providing outstanding customer service create a welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

• Monitor and manage access control points within the location to help deter unauthorized entry and/or activity.
• Verify identification and credentials of individuals seeking access to restricted areas within the property.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and site‑specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to observe for any security‑related concerns or suspicious activity.
• Document and report any security‑related incidents, irregularities, or property damage according to site‑specific and Allied Universal procedures.
• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors by addressing security‑related inquiries and assisting with site‑specific policies and procedures.
• Assist in emergency response activities as required, collaborating with local authorities and Allied Universal management.
• Maintain a visible security‑related presence to help deter inappropriate activity and promote a secure environment for all occupants.

• Have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have experience with access control and/or badge systems preferred.
• Be comfortable working at locations with limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
