Incumbent serves as first point of contact for patients in the ambulatory clinics. Performs general clerical and reception duties. Enters patient data to the registration system and verifies insurance and/or third‑party coverage. Schedules, confirms and cancels patient appointments.

- Enter patient data to registration system and verify insurance and third‑party coverage.
- Schedule, confirm and cancel patient appointments.
- Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
- Must be able to work weekends/holidays.
- Demonstrated experience using office equipment such as a printer, copier, fax and scanner.
- Demonstrated experience using a multi‑line telephone system.
- Demonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrieval.
- Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
- Ability to effectively read, write and speak English.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
- Demonstrated knowledge of insurance programs and/or government programs.
- Demonstrated experience working with TDS, Signature, IDX.
- Demonstrated experience working in registration, scheduling and/or authorization processes.
- Demonstrated experience working in a hospital or medical office setting.
- Bilingual skill in Spanish, Vietnamese or Chinese.
