Metro seeks a skilled and experienced Information Technology Project Management Office (IT PMO) Manager to lead and oversee our organization’s IT project management division.

- Enjoys problem-solving and fostering effective collaboration between business units and multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in change management practices.
- Experience with multiple methods of project management, including Waterfall, Agile and Lean.
- High level of organization with the ability to juggle multiple priorities, projects, and tasks.
- Ability to flex the approach to projects between methodologies, depending on the approach needed for the specific project.
- Experience with creating and updating status reports to include scope, schedule, and budget progression of projects as well as prioritization updates for departments and staff.
- Experience working within a union represented environment.
- Develop the IT Project Management Office, its framework, processes, and standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of project managers and business analyst professionals that will focus on gathering business and technical requirements, manage projects throughout their lifecycle and assist with project related organizational change management practices.
- Establish a project intake process and project evaluation methodologies, including scope, schedule, budget and resource assessment, project risk and timing.
- Collaborate with management to align project initiatives with Metro’s strategic goals and objectives.
- Create and establish a transparent prioritization process.
- Create project monitoring and status reporting processes to give transparency and performance feedback.
- Work with our Applications team and other Metro business areas to develop application roadmaps and business process improvements.
- Five years leading or supervising, AND
- Bachelor’s degree in the area of assignment or a related field, AND
- Two years’ of progressively responsible project management experience, customer service or technology experience, OR
- Any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the classification duties and responsibilities.

HybridTelework
This position is designated as “hybrid telework.” During the first six months of employment, you will be required to work in the office 1-2 days per week. The manager will work with you to identify a schedule that balances the operational needs of the department and your needs. Employees must reside in Oregon or Washington to work at Metro.
