Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Charge NICU III night shift position in California, requiring advanced NICU and high-risk delivery experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a Level III NICU within a hospital setting
- Charge RN position on the night shift (3x12s, 18:30–07:30)
- Care for neonatal intensive care patients, including attending high-risk deliveries
- Float requirements include L&D and potential floating between affiliated sites
- Documentation in Epic EMR
- Weekend shifts scheduled as needed by the unit
- No on-call responsibilities
- Must be comfortable with both NICU patient care and supervising clinical staff as Charge RN
- Pre-approved time off is subject to manager discretion and must be requested in advance
- Floating may occur between multiple units or locations based on staffing needs
- Scrubs are required while on duty
- Local candidates are accommodated at the local pay rate if residing within 50 miles
- Active CA RN license required
- Minimum 3 years of Level IV NICU nursing experience
- Current BLS and Advanced NRP certifications required
- Charge nurse experience in a NICU setting required
- Experience attending high-risk deliveries required
- First-time travelers accepted
