Joining H R Block as a Tax Associate means you will have expert support for tax training and the flexibility to pursue what makes your life unique. Your main responsibilities are:

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face‑to‑face and via virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email)
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration
• Grow your tax expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• Previous experience in a customer‑service or retail environment
• Experience working in a fast‑paced, supportive environment
• Ability to work a minimum of 25–35 hours weekly during tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks
• Successful completion of the H R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course is preferred
• Comfort using virtual tools (video, phone, chat)
• Strong communication skills in person, via phone, and in writing
• Must meet all IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma or higher required

$11.00 – $27.00 per hour. Local minimum wage laws apply. Individual pay decisions will depend on job‑related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location.
