936-Streets & Sidewalks - General Paving Worker
JOB SUMMARY:
Under supervision, to clean and paint red zones and curbs throughout GRF streets, and perform related work as required.
Essential FunctionsDrives a truck to clean and paint all red zones and curbs throughout GRF streets on a yearly basis.
Paints all guest-parking stalls after yearly seal coat programs.
Regular attendance required. All duties performed on-site for the Community.

Non-EssentialFunctions
Removes and replaces all damaged street signs and installs new signs as needed throughout the project.
Equipment OperatedTruck, airless sprayer, compressor, water blaster, high pressure sand blaster, scaffolding, ladders, road marking machine, brushes and rollers.
Work EnvironmentExposure to dust, fumes and normal outdoor elements.
Desirable QualificationsEducational development which produces the ability to read, write and apply common sense understanding to the carrying out of oral or written instructions and experience in building maintenance work or any equivalent combination of education and experience that produces the following:
- Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the job.
- Knowledge of the standard practices, methods, processes, materials, machines and tools of building maintenance.
- Ability to adapt available tools and repair parts of specific repair problems.
- Ability to operate equipment that requires a high degree of manipulative skill.
- Ability to read and write work-related job instructions in English.
- Ability to work from sketches and drawings and to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others in English.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Skill in the use and care of tools and equipment used in the Building Maintenance trade.
- Possession of a valid California driver's license.
- Ability to pass respiratory pulmonary function test and annual medical examination.
- Ability to pass qualitative and/or quantitative respirator fit test.
Requires standing for up to 6 hour periods; occasional working at heights of up to 20 feet; frequent lifting and carrying of up to 20 lbs. with occasional lifting and carrying of up to 100 lbs.; frequent crouching, grasping, kneeling, pulling, pushing and reaching; occasional balancing, climbing, crawling, feeling and stooping.
