The Role

Located in one of the most stunning and wild areas of Scotland, Sutherland offers a unique set of challenges and opportunities. This role will see you leading the flagship Lundies House, and secluded Kinloch Lodge in steering and assisting the Front of House and Kitchen teams, ensuring operational excellence and faultless guest experience. Alongside your team, you will provide a warm welcome and an evocative experience from the moment the guest arrives to the moment they leave our properties.

You’ll be part of developing and embedding the service standards, systems and operational processes across multiple locations within the region, so that your guest facing colleagues and kitchen team can work collaboratively with the goal of whole team success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be an exceptional Wild Land Leader who is a role model of leadership and team behaviours and seeks to develop leadership in your Team.
  • Assist with the recruitment, onboarding and training of the Front of House and Kitchen Teams to be high performing teams.
  • Be a primary touchpoint throughout the guest stay, ensuring all guests receive warm, knowledge and organic interactions at all elements of their stay.
  • Regularly inspect properties to ensure highest standards across departments are consistently maintained across the guest experience and kitchen functions, in line with SOPs.
  • Liaise and collaborate with the Reservations team continuously to ensure all departments are fully informed about guest preferences and requests, translating the guest journey curated by the travel designer to realisation in the guest experience.
  • Capture all guest and team feedback – implement simple frameworks for celebrating success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support the Regional Leader in the delivery and reporting of financial targets across your properties, partnering with the Finance function, to ensure effective local budget controls in reference to the Delegation of Authority; manage procurement, and supply chain.
  • Promote team health, safety and wellbeing whilst at work and within the local social environment. In particular drive the HSE strategy and policies throughout operations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers, contractors, and community members. Represent Wildland Ltd professionally in the Sutherland region.
