Job Description
Service Delivery Manager
, under minimal supervision, conduct and/or facilitate maintenance, administration, and support of Supply Chain Warehouse Management application portfolio through the partnership with client Leadership and Managed Service providers.
• Work independently and in concert with team and Managed Service Providers to conduct day-to-day maintenance, administration of software platform(s) and configuration updates following established procedures.
• Identifies root causes of operational issues and resolves independently or through Managed Service partners.
• Managing support relationships with vendors for COTS software and directing managed service partners in working with those vendors.
• Collaborate closely with Business partners and Technology teams to achieve solutions to system challenges, including to plan for new projects and events, including capacity planning, monitoring, configuration, security, metrics, reporting and recovery and migration strategies.
• Ensure adherence to IT Security standards and provide timely updates to IT Security activities and vulnerabilities to Technology Leadership.
• Provides support for multiple levels of testing prior to release of new and upgraded infrastructure, products, and/or services.
• Responsible for documentation, communication, and monitoring.
• Clearly communicate technical findings, issues and outcomes to team.
• Produce status reports and assist in gathering metrics of incident resolution.
Qualifications
- Supply Chain Fundamentals, Application/System Security aspects.
- Experience with delivered COTS products.
- Facilitate aspects of application operations.
- Prioritize backlog items for Managed Services partners like incidents, security vulnerabilities, remediations, upgrades.
- Ability to work with business directly, Agile/Kanban style of working on the backlog items.
- PM Skills - when to reach out for help, when to escalate, ITIL process, SDLC knowledge.
- Flexibility to adjust hours as needed. Follow up with Product Vendors on any product issues.
Familiarity with:
• Java and .Net
• SOA, Java/J2EE, XML, ProC, Perl, HTML, PHP, JSP, open source.
• GIT, Client ALM, UC4, Version One.
• Middleware familiarity with Websphere/Weblogic/Apache Tom Cat, MQ.
• Application Server, Rules Engine, and Oracle programming methodologies.
• Working knowledge of both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases.
• Enterprise operating systems (Windows, Unix, and Linux).
