Ducote Law Firm, LLC is a litigation-focused civil and criminal law firm based in Lake Charles, Louisiana. We provide strategic legal representation to individuals and businesses throughout Southwest Louisiana, handling cases from investigation through trial and appeal on both plaintiff and defense sides. Our practice areas include serious personal injury cases, complex construction and business-related litigation, contested successions, interdiction disputes, and criminal defense cases, among others.

Committed to disciplined preparation and clear communication, we emphasize relentless advocacy at every stage. Our dedicated team is led by three experienced attorneys, including Samuel Ducote, Robert Guidry, and Rick Bryant.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Receptionist role at our Lake Charles, Louisiana office. The Receptionist will handle daily front desk operations, including greeting clients and visitors, answering and directing phone calls, scheduling appointments, and providing administrative support. Organizational and professional communication skills are key for this dynamic position, as the Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for clients and other visitors.

Qualifications
  • Strong Phone Etiquette and Receptionist Duties skills to effectively handle incoming calls, transfer calls, and manage front desk interactions.
  • Great Clerical Skills such as scheduling, e‑mailing, filing, and managing daily client/case‑related functions and basic administrative support tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to engage professionally with clients, attorneys, and colleagues, ensuring a welcoming office environment.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with office equipment, basic computer skills, and familiarity with legal or professional office settings are a plus.
  • Familiar with using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • A Team Player who is a Reliable, Proactive professional
  • Any Prior Law Firm/Court/Legal-related Experience Preferred (not required)
  • 2+ years of prior Receptionist Experience preferred (not required)

* Competitive Pay & Benefits available (rate based on experience/skills)

** Min. starting base hourly pay: $15.00.

*** Hourly base pay rate ranges from $15.00–$22.75++ (depending on level of experience, skills, roles performed, etc.).

**** Benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), etc. may be available or offered depending on experience, hours worked, etc.
