KPLC-TV in Lake Charles seeks a motivated and dynamic Anchor/MMJ to join our news team. A successful candidate must be a proven leader who is motivated and passionate about storytelling. An ideal candidate must be an effective communicator who excels in reporting. The ability to cultivate sources and produce enterprise stories is a must. Applicant must have a love for local news, a passion for creative storytelling, and a positive attitude.

• Generating story ideas
• Setting up interviews
• Shooting and editing own stories
• Anchoring on both linear and streaming platforms
• Maintaining professional social media accounts
• Assisting producers in showcasing stories
• Producing content for our streaming channel

• Strong live reporting skills and a drive for breaking news
• Proficiency in all digital platforms
• Experience shooting and editing own stories; college degree in journalism or related field
• Driving required; MVR check required
