Hospital Medicine – Nocturnist Physician
CHRISTUS Health
- ED and ICU run codes; hospitalists respond and take over based on comfort level.
- Hospitalists respond to RRT on their patients.
- Average Daily Census: 85.
- Average Overnight Admits: 7-8.
- No procedures required.
- Open 18‑bed ICU – admit for all ICU patients; hospitalist primary on all ICU patients.
- All specialties available except hepatology.
- EMR:
Epic. - Staffing Model:
Day – 5 physicians (7a‑7p);
Night – 1 physician (7p‑7a) + 1 NPPA.
