Part‑Time (Hybrid) Physician Opportunity – Lake Charles and Monroe, LA

Schedule:

8 hours/week with flexibility on schedule.

Apple Gate Recovery, a division of Bay Mark Health Services, is a multi‑site, multi‑service organization providing opioid use disorder treatment and rehabilitation for patients across the country. Providing high quality, patient‑centered treatment for addiction to prescription medications and other opioids remains the focus of our clinics. Combining evidence‑based, medication‑assisted treatment with counseling and behavioral services, Apple Gate offers the most successful option for many patients.

• Admitting patients for treatment.
• Cover absences for the Medical Director during vacations, attendance at addiction meetings, and personal absences.
• Obtain a history and physical exam.
• Document into the EMR, enter orders for methadone dosing in the EMR or write a buprenorphine prescription.
• Consistently monitor patient dosages in conjunction with the Treatment Center Director.
• Consult on patients that are high risk and conduct annual medication reviews.
• Other related duties as determined by supervisor.

• Board-certified in Addiction Medicine preferred but not required.
• Must have a license in good standing in the state of Louisiana.
• Must be able to interact compassionately with a diverse population.
• Requires satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
