Position OverviewThe Modern Pantry Attendant is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer. The Modern Pantry Attendant also performs the duties of a Counter Attendant to ensure efficient operation of Modern Pantry.
Compensation & BenefitsInitial placement within the salary range is based on relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is one component of our competitive Total Rewards package, which includes wellness programs, day‑one medical coverage, 401(k) matching, and an annual performance bonus. Paid time off is earned according to local policy and increases with length of employment.
Responsibilities- Provides superior customer service, positively affects interactions with customers and employees, and has resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions.
- Monitors safety and maintenance needs throughout areas of responsibility and takes action as needed.
- Opens and closes outlets in accordance with established procedure to ensure sanitation and protect company assets.
- Communicates closely with Lead and/or supervisor/manager on all operating issues.
- Monitors supply needs for operation and cleaning, and maintains par levels.
- Communicates effectively with customers and employees at all levels.
- Observes and directs actions of subordinates and inspects and maintains areas for which responsible.
- Distinguishes between different denominations of currency and makes change.
- Reviews and comprehends all necessary documentation.
- Moves around food service area efficiently and carries food orders, stocks supplies, and buses tables.
- Demonstrates knowledge of cashiering, counter‑service, or quick‑service operations.
- Stable work history required.
- Experience in a snack bar or similar food service environment is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and customer‑focused mindset.
