Job SummaryTo provide the highest level of service to Center for Orthopaedics' Imaging Center patients. Prepares and performs standard radiologic examinations on patients while maintaining ALARA. Operates X-ray equipment and Bone Density Scanner (DEXA), processes images, prepares patient rooms, maintains supplies and medications, and completes all documentation.
Hours:
Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm.
Administrator. Does not supervise any employees.
Essential Functions- Perform X-ray procedures as ordered by referring providers.
- Perform Bone Density Scans (DEXA) as ordered by referring providers.
- Ensure that the patient's and physician's needs are met.
- Ensure all duties are performed efficiently and comply with regulations.
- Complete all procedures in PACS and ensure that all images are of good quality.
- Assist MRI technologist screen and assist patients as needed.
- Monitor equipment performance and notify the supervisor of any repair assistance needed.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- ARRT registration and Louisiana state license required.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Previous radiology experience preferred but not required.
