What we’re looking for:

- Intermediate Chemicals is seeking a dynamic Maintenance Manager at our Lake Charles, Louisiana facility. The role involves providing leadership for maintenance, planning, and scheduling, contributing to turnaround planning and execution, and working collaboratively with stakeholders including production, engineering, reliability, purchasing, and finance. The Maintenance Manager will also manage the maintenance budget and personnel, participating as a member of the site leadership team.
What will be expected from you?
- Manage team leaders, supervision, and engineers responsible for construction, repairs, field engineering, quality assurance, contract compliance, administration, and material control within budget.
- Coordinate with inspection department to ensure compliance with regulatory codes during plant construction and repairs.
- Monitor contractor compliance with quality plans, schedules, staffing, and execution.
- Participate in safety and environmental meetings, incorporating safety and environmental plans into all jobs and activities.
- Lead contractor activities, ensuring performance within time frames and cost parameters.
- Verify and approve contractor progress and payments, ensuring quality and specifications are met.
- Inspire, coach, and provide feedback to optimize team and process performance.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives in collaboration with site and corporate managers.
- Establish metrics to monitor budget, manpower, planning, and scheduling for continuous improvement.
- Maintain regular presence at the workplace and work extra hours if needed.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse team members.
- Assist colleagues in achieving company goals.
- Follow instructions and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Participate in Environmental, Health, & Safety initiatives and training programs.
What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
- 15+ years of related experience, with construction management experience in a related industry possibly substituting for education.
- Proficiency with Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to organizational changes.
