Job SummaryThe Project Controls Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of project controls, including cost management, scheduling, risk analysis, and reporting. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards and client requirements.
Position SummaryThe Project Controls Manager will develop and maintain project control systems, lead the creation of detailed project schedules, identify and analyze risks, generate accurate reports, and provide leadership to the project controls staff.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Develop and maintain project control systems, procedures, and tools for cost and performance tracking.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
- Monitor project progress and performance against established baselines.
- Lead the development and maintenance of detailed project schedules using industry-standard software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
- Identify and analyze risks, providing mitigation strategies and contingency planning.
- Generate accurate and timely reports for stakeholders, including earned value analysis and variance reporting.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and finance teams to ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project controls staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in project controls within industrial construction.
- Proficiency in scheduling and cost control software (Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Knowledge of earned value management and risk analysis techniques.
- Experience in large‑scale industrial or capital projects.
- Advanced Excel and data visualization skills.
