Responsibilities- Maintain, repair, and modify aircraft systems, components, and engines of high complexity.
- Read and interpret manufacturers’ and airline’s maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, and engineering data to determine feasibility and method of repair or replacement.
- Have basic knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair.
- Possess detailed knowledge of aircraft tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, and cable tensiometers.
- Provide technical support to mechanical engineers and customers.
- Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Apply professional technical expertise to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints and manufacturers’ manuals.
- Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components.
- Adjust, repair, or replace basic electrical wiring systems and aircraft accessories.
- Perform 100‑hour, progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other inspections, including engine checks for cracks, leaks, and operational diagnostics.
- Inspect jet engines and components for cracks, corrosion, foreign object damage, and other defects.
- Conduct engine tests using equipment such as ignition analyzers, compression checkers, and jet calibration testers.
- Maintain and repair aircraft components including flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
- Perform preflight, thru‑flight, and post‑flight maintenance inspections.
- Carry out miscellaneous maintenance tasks such as flushing crankcase, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes.
- Use manual hand tools such as crimpers, strippers, wire cutters, and heat‑shrink guns.
- Supervise the jacking and towing of aircraft.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and a minimum of 10 years relevant experience.
- Ability to perform work in approved environments during specified hours.
- Ability to travel and change physical locations as needed.
- Physical ability to work in conditions that may include height or closed spaces.
- Ability to wear respirator or other safety gear.
- A&P License.
- Prior E‑6B/707 experience.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance.
Salary Range: $36.95 - $36.95 per hour
Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses.
