Essential Duties- Perform disassembly and assembly of new control valves:
- Read, interpret and respond to sales order and customer data sheet information
- Safely disassemble valves and parts, including:
- Sliding stem valves
- Rotary ball valves
- Rotary butterfly valves
- High‑performance rotary butterfly valves
- Bolted bonnet, gate, globe and check valves
- Soft‑seated ball valves
- Pressure globe and rotary valves
- Safely disassemble actuators and parts, including:
- Double‑acting pneumatic sliding‑stem piston actuators
- Double‑acting pneumatic rotary piston actuators
- Single‑acting sliding‑stem spring and diaphragm actuators
- Single‑acting rotary spring and diaphragm actuators
- Evaluate parts and maintain material awareness:
- Mark parts correctly and maintain organization and segregation
- Perform chemical solvent cleaning when needed
- Inspect parts for critical dimension compliance
- Complete all quality control sheets (date, sign‑off, status, etc.)
- Understand and comply with special assembly requirements per factories and customers
- Safely perform machiningənin:
- Drill press or pneumatic tools for drilling and pinning stems for valve plugs
- Hand grinder for polishing some flange and sealing surfaces
- Safely assemble control valves from repair instructions, test‑report/specification sheets, and OEM IOM manuals, including calibration of positioners or controllers:
Vit- utti
- Install stem packing
- Attach actuators to valves accurately
- Set correct valve travel and bench set on actuator
- Tube up positioners and controllers to actuators efficiently, along with accessories
- Safely test control valves according to applicable code test requirements, using compressed air, water, and nitrogen; complete detailed test reports
- Tube up, calibrate and troubleshoot pneumatic and digital positioners and controllers as per factory or customer spec sheets, including models such as:
- Fisher 3582 and 3582I sliding‑stem positioners
- Fisher 3610J, 3610JP, 3620, 3620JP rotary positioners
- DVC
6200 and DVC
2000 positioners - Fisher C1P pressure controller
- Fisher 2500 pneumatic level controller
- Disassemble and assemble new regulators and relief valves, including:
- Direct‑operated regulators
- Pilot‑operated regulators
Respond to sales order/customer data sheets and special customer requirements - Execute spring, orifice, and body changes on regulators and relief valves
- Test all regulators and relief valves accurately
- Set regulators and relief valves to desired setpoint
- Complete all quality control sheets for regulators and relief valves
- Tag, seal, and prepare products for shipping; handle priming and painting while adhering to safety rules and proper waste disposal; palletize and protect tags, flanges, and threaded areas during painting
- Understand and uphold JHC TCC (Total Customer Commitment) standards
- Support JHC colleagues enthusiastically and cultivate solid relationships internally and externally
- Travel when required
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum দেশ in valve repair industry preferred
- Basic knowledge of control valves, pneumatic safety systems, and rotary valves
- Ability to read and understand customer data/spec sheets for valve and regulator assembly
- Basic knowledge of industrial regulators, pneumatic positioners and controllers typically used on control valves
- Confident and safe use of hand and pneumatic tools
- Self‑directed field/shop worker
- Preferred experience with bending and running tubing
- Proficiency in measurement tools (manual torque wrenches, dial calipers, Vernier calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, tape measure, scale)
- TWIC, OSHA Safety, Security Passport
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license
- As needed throughout Gulf Coast region
- Good ethics, values, and integrity

- Excellent written, verbal, and organizational communication
