CDL Production Operators are responsible for procedures associated with powder blender operation, equipment set-up and cleaning, monitoring and testing of final product quality, quality inspections and equipment operation and transferring of material between A to Z Drying facilities and customers. A CDL license with tanker endorsement is required for this position.
Major Areas of Responsibility- Move material between A to Z Drying facilities and customers.
- Operate the Tank/Tanker Wash CIP system.
- Assist in Powder Formulation/Blending department equipment clean-up and set-up.
- Perform various equipment checks, and formulation/blending operation tasks as assigned by the Manager.
- Perform in-process inspections of formulated/blended product for quality conformity on a continual basis.
- Visual inspection of manufacturing areas for in-process deficiencies and cleanliness.
- Verify that equipment is operating correctly.
- Physical attendance is an essential element of the job.
- Practice all company safety policies and procedures daily.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of High School diploma or GED.
- One year or more of manufacturing experience.
- Experience associated with exceptional work quality / customer service skills.
- CDL license (with tanker endorsement) in good standing is required.
The following physical demands and stamina requirements are essential functions of the job: talking, hearing, sitting, standing for long periods of time, using hands and fingers to handle and feel, reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting up to 50 pounds frequently, entering vessel hatches and close vision.
