Role Description The Sales Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Lake Charles, LA. This role focuses on guiding families through pre-need and at-need service options, explaining products and services clearly, and supporting them in making informed decisions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting in-person consultations, responding to inquiries, presenting tailored service packages, and following up with prospective and existing clients. The Sales Specialist will maintain accurate records in company systems, collaborate with location staff to ensure seamless service delivery, and participate in local outreach or events to build community relationships.

This role also involves meeting sales targets while maintaining a compassionate, customer-centered approach aligned with the values of Dignity Memorial.

Qualifications

• Strong Communication skills, including clear, empathetic, and professional verbal and written communication.
• Demonstrated Customer Service experience, with a focus on supporting individuals and families during sensitive situations.
• Proven Sales skills, including prospecting, presenting solutions, and closing opportunities in a consultative manner.
• Experience with Sales Management or sales processes, such as pipeline management, follow-up strategies, and reporting.
• Background in Training or coaching, especially in guiding clients through complex decisions and educating them about products and services.
• Ability to work on-site in Lake Charles, LA, with reliable attendance and schedule flexibility, including evenings or weekends as needed.
• Comfort working in a funeral, cremation, and cemetery services environment, with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
• Basic proficiency with CRM systems and standard office software (e.g., email, spreadsheets, and presentation tools).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, communications, or a related field is beneficial.
• Previous experience in insurance, hospitality, or other relationship-based sales roles is a plus.
