Summary
To provide support for new and existing work within the business line. Personnel will be providing bolt-up assembly for structural components in a fabrication facility; individual may be required to work outside.
Responsibilities- Reads and interprets instructions and documentation and plans work activities.
- Visually inspect and receive material in all-weather conditions.
- Visualize objects in three dimensions from plans and drawings.
- Compare and identify differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.
- Selects equipment, lays out assembly, and installation.
- Positions, aligns, and fits components together for installation.
- Work under immediate supervision.
- Experience equal to 1 year as an iron worker, rigger, or certificate of NCCER completion.
- 3-6 months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess mathematical skills, reasoning ability, and the ability to handle the physical demands of the job.
Standing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, vision, hearing. Lifting and carrying as specified (lbs.).
