Join the team at Raba Kistner, Inc. as a Construction Materials Technician and support our commitment to building a better and more sustainable world.
Responsibilities- Conduct field or laboratory testing, sampling, and/or inspection services on construction materials.
- Communicate with dispatchers and coordinators to meet field and laboratory priorities and deadlines.
- Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and project leads to discuss testing and sampling of construction materials or procedures.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure safe storage and maintenance of all field equipment.
- Report project progress and delays to supervisors and dispatchers.
- Submit accurate and complete testing/inspection reports daily.
- Drive company vehicles to job sites safely.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Valid driver’s license and meet firm auto insurability requirements.
- Construction Materials Technician In Training – High School Diploma or GED required; no experience necessary.
- Construction Materials Technician I – At least 6 months of applicable experience and at least 1 industry certification.
- Construction Materials Technician II – At least 1 year of applicable experience and at least 2 industry certifications.
- Construction Materials Technician III – At least 3 years of applicable experience and at least 3 industry certifications.
- Relevant industry certification from ACI, NICET, TXDOT, ICC, PTI, or other comparable certifications as approved by hiring manager.
Effectively sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; regularly stand, walk, climb, balance, and talk; use hands and reach; lift and/or move up to 70 pounds occasionally; handle close, far, color, peripheral, focus, and depth vision; work outside in all weather conditions; exposure to heavy equipment, hazardous chemicals, noise, dust, fumes, grease, oils, radiant and electrical energy, and vibration.
