Job Summary: HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is seeking a BE/BC Anesthesiologist to become the Facility Medical Director at our HCA Florida Lake City Hospital in Lake City, FL. Lake City is located about 60 miles from Jacksonville and 40 miles from Gainesville. This program has recently transitioned to the HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services hospital employed model.

Description: Specialization: Anesthesiology

The Facility Medical Director will collaborate with the Operations team and Hospital Administration to promote a respectful work environment, lead by example, and provide excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will excel in communication and relationship building, representing the Anesthesia department as a true partner. Responsibilities include ensuring high standards of healthcare delivery, employee satisfaction, retention, and monitoring quality metrics. Previous leadership experience is required.

Qualified Candidates / Opportunity Highlights:

• Model includes 5 General Anesthesiologists doing solo cases
• Coverage of 3 ORs and 2 NORAs (Endo and Cysto), with an annual surgical volume of 2400; 2 additional ORs opening Summer 2025
• Case mix includes General, Orthopedic, GI/Endo, GYN, and some robotics
• No Trauma, No OB, No Cardiac cases
• Must be proficient in Blocks
• Scheduled 40 hours/week, 7 am - 3 pm, with weekday beeper call 1:5; post-call day off
