Maintenance Technician I

About the RoleWe're looking for a driven, hands-on Maintenance Technician I to keep our equipment and facility running safely and smoothly. Working under the direction of the department manager, you'll handle preventive and day-to-day maintenance, help catch problems before they become breakdowns, and build your skills alongside an experienced team. This is a great fit for someone early in their maintenance career who wants room to grow.
WhatYou'll Do
- Perform preventive and routine maintenance on machinery, equipment, and the facility
- Clean and lubricate equipment and machines on a regular schedule
- Change filters on rooftop HVAC units and other facility equipment
- Identify tools and equipment showing signs of wear before major failures occur
- Troubleshoot minor electrical and hydraulic issues and repair hydraulic leaks under supervision
- Inspect lifting devices to confirm they meet current safety standards
- Help build safety equipment, machine guarding, and structural protection devices
- Take on additional duties as needed
- 1–3 years of maintenance experience, or an associate degree in a related field
- Basic knowledge of AC and DC electrical diagnostics, including 24V control circuits
- Ability to follow standard wiring practices for 120V, 240V, and three-phase power circuits
- Basic plumbing and fitting knowledge
- Familiarity with metalworking equipment and processes
- A strong commitment to following safety procedures and protocols
- Willingness to become certified on forklifts, mechanical lifting equipment, and manlifts
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, and sit for extended periods
- Ability to work in varying conditions, including extreme heat and cold
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
- Occasional overtime may be requested based on need
