Special Education Teacher | Lake , South Carolina

Take your passion for helping young learners to the next level by making a difference as a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming  school year. This full-time contract opportunity offers you the chance to support elementary students—specifically those in 3K and 4K—located near Lake City, SC.

• Current and valid Special Education Teaching license in South Carolina (required)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Prior teaching experience with early elementary (3K/4K) students preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

• Plan and deliver specialized instruction for students in pre-kindergarten classrooms
• Monitor, assess, and document student progress and behavioral growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
• Create engaging lesson plans tailored to each student’s unique needs
• Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate student records

• Consistent, daytime schedule:
  Monday–Friday, 7:15 am–2:45 pm (37.5 hours/week)
• Academic-year contract:
  August 10, 2026–May 21, 2027
