Our client is seeking an Accountant 2 position to fulfill daily accounting, book month-end close entries, perform account reconciliation and analysis, and use accounting principles, practices, and procedures to deliver accurate and timely financial reports. This position must meet tight deadlines and complete a multitude of accounting activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close process including preparing journal entries
• Prepare and/or review daily/monthly account reconciliations
• Assist with financial statement review and analysis
• Complete audit requests as needed
• Assist with the preparation of annual audited financial statements and quarterly board packages
• Assist with regulatory filings
• Assist with process improvement initiatives
• Ensure accounting procedures are documented and updated, as necessary
• Review and update internal controls as needed and ensure compliance when completing assigned duties
• Perform other tasks and projects as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 3+ years of experience
• CPA certification/candidate

• Public accounting experience
• Regulatory reporting experience
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated problem solving ability
• Strong organization skills
• Ability to work under deadlines
• Good leadership and project management skills
• Peoplesoft/SAAS/Blackline Systems Experience would be helpful
