Job Title: Floating Community Education Preschool Classroom Assistant (Mon - Thu, 27 hours/week)

Job Summary: Assist classroom teacher in a preschool classroom. Preferred candidate will have experience working with young children. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and comfortably get up and down from a sitting position on the floor. This is a float position; the assistant will be housed in a classroom at one location and will travel to other schools when staff is needed.

Mileage will be paid for travel.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or its GED equivalent.
• Desired candidate should have background/training in one or more of the following areas: child development, child guidance, human relations, communications and recreational programming.

Hours per day: Work is only on student contact days.

Start date: ASAP

Salary: $18.21-$19.06
